In 1976, Jeff Smith came back to Australia to setup
practice as one of the first specialists in Sydney
and New South Wales. Jeff worked mainly by himself
as a veterinary ophthalmologist for almost 2
decades, until in the early 1990s when Jeff trained
his first ophthalmology resident, Anna Deykin. In
1997, Cameron joined the practice and in 2000, Eye
Clinic for Animals was established in its current
form with Cameron and Jeff as business partners.
Since that time Jeff and Cameron continue to provide
specialist ophthalmic service at our 2 main clinics
at North Shore Veterinary Hospital in Crow’s Nest,
and The Animal Referral Hospital in South
Strathfield. They also do trips, usually once a
month, to other areas around the state of New South
Wales such as Newcastle, Orange and Wollongong as
well as Canberra.
