Providing World Class Treatment

At ECA, all animals are in excellent hands with our three highly trained and experienced Veterinary Ophthalmology Partners and Veterinary Ophthalmology Registrar. ECA prides itself on using absolute cutting edge diagnostic and therapeutic modalities. From the front of the eye including the eyelids and cornea, to the iris and lens, and to the back of the eye including the retina, ECA offers the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques available worldwide. We want your pet to be able to get the same expertise in care that a human ophthalmologist can offer. ECA offers industry leading diagnostic and surgical techniques performed for the first time in Australia, and in some cases the world.

This includes the first retinal reattachment surgery in a dog in Australia performed in September 2016. Plus, ECA is the first clinic WORLD WIDE, to perform corneal endothelial transplant surgery. ECA also developed a radical new technique for eyelid repair, now used as one of the mainstays of eyelid surgery – the “lip to lid” transposition. We also offer industry leading diagnostic services including high frequency (UBM) Ultrasound and Electroretinography, and ocular tear film analysis with our recently acquired Tear Film Analyser.

ECA also has a professional team of veterinary nurses and administrative staff, extending the high quality of service across all areas of the practice. Furthermore, ECA works with human ophthalmologists to assist with both retinal and corneal surgeries, as well as specialist veterinary anaesthetists to provide the best service possible.

Eye Clinic for Animals aims to provide world class, cutting edge surgical and diagnostic techniques to our clients. Excellence without compromise – that is our goal.
